Bio
My name is Madi Bidwell, and I am a 2029 right handed pitcher and also play first base.
I am a freshman at Shorecrest Preparatory School (a college preparatory school) in St. Petersburg, Florida, which is where I've lived my entire life.
I bring the same intensity to the classroom as I do to the field, evidenced by my 4.0 GPA.
Outside of softball, I enjoy hanging out with my friends and family, going to the beach, hanging out at the pool, or just spending a day relaxing.
I love being inthe sun and surrounded by the people I love!
I also love studying the Bible and growing in my faith.

Coach's Comments
HARD WORK. That's the essence of Madi. Coming from a family of former college athletes, Madi's passion is unmatched. She trains seven days a week, combining pitching, fielding, swings, and conditioning.
Madi excels both on the field and in the classsroom, and she's a soft-spoken, humourous teammate.
As a pitcher, Madi is primarily a curveball pitcher with excellent control, a great change-up, and is currently learning a rise ball. She's a pure strikeout pitcher, boasting more swing-and-misses than anyone else on the team.
Madi also excels at the plate, hitting for a high average and power to hit for extra bases, and is a phenomenal defensive first baseman with great picking ability.

When you think of a leader, Madi's name comes to mind. She is not the type of leader that leads with a loud voice, but by example. She challenges the people around her because she wants to be the best version of herself no matter if that's as an athlete, student, or teammate. She understands the sacrifices and the grit it takes to be a student-athlete. She's the type of kid that, as a coach, I am excited to teach. I know she's working on and off the field and is going to show up during lessons. It has been a pleasure giving her lessons and I can't wait to see the growth she has in the future.
